MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
HKUAANZ has a Mentorship Programme which HKU students on
overseas exchange for one semester or longer can join. Our aim is
to help provide support to mentees on exchange to adapt in a new
environment and to have positive personal development while in
New Zealand. In 2018, we had four mentees, and we shall have two
in 2019. So far, mentees tend to come to the University of Auckland or the University of Canterbury in Christchurch.
Mentees have given us positive feedback about their fun time around New Zealand scenic places. They also appreciate the support given to them on routine issues. Valuable friendships are made.
Applications are called and considered by DAAO in April and November each year. For further information and applications go to: Hong Kong University Overseas Mentorship Program.
2019 Mentees - Emily, Tiffany and Rebecca - who spent a semester at the University of Auckand have participated in monthly lunches with the HKUAANZ members, joined the members on a tour to visit three Stud Farms in Cambridge, and attended a Fashion/Art show and several outings with their mentor.
